Doha - cost of living
Hi everyone
Now that Qatar is the most expensive place to live in the ME, just wondering how relative this is when you compare it to other cities like London, Berlin, New York, Sydney etc etc.
I understand that an 2 bed apartment in West Bay will cost something in the region of 15k QAR (£2.5k sterling equiv) - but realistically this is how much a flat in central London would cost you as well.
I would be grateful if someone could give me a rough indication of how much the following would cost:
Utilities - Electricity, Gas, Water
Internet
Mobile phone
Bread
Milk
Bottled water
Soft drinks (coke etc)
Cheese
Pasta
Chicken
Eating out - fast food such as Mac D's
Eating out - half decent restaurant
Car hire - something reasonable
Petrol
Alcohol - beer and a bottle of spirit
Apologies for the long list - but any assistance would help - just trying to figure out if it is wildly different from the UK.
Thanks
