Currency
Awight,
I have a question for the forum:
Now that we seem to be getting more Pounds for the Dirham (note, UK1 - AED6.75), how am I going to get the best exchange rate - AED to UK sterling?
The only 3 options that I can think of are:
- Lloyds - transfer to offshore account, I get 2 free a month
- GCEN (Global Currency Exchange Network)
- Go into, say, Western Union with cash;
However I don't know which one is the best option. Anybody with a bit of knowledge please let me know.....
Danke Schon

Re: Currency
I used GCEN a while back and they were very good. May need to negotiate a bit with the rate to start with - I got a rate identical to that I could get through HSBC on-line and simply told them this. After this they dropped a fair bit.
Check Lloyds then try GCEN...
