Maybe if all the Middle East & North African Arab countries joined together and fielded a "United Arab" team, then it would very well .... maybe even win the World Cup.

Its not about the Quantity but Quality!
Kuwait has a small population too! BUT they are in History books by being the first GCC country to enter World Cup.

Balushi, a couple a points for you
1) Zidane is not Arab, he is Algerian....North Africa is miles away from Arabia.
2) Greece rocked the world beating ex world champions France, not current world champions.
3) although I do not know what constitutes GCC, but the first middle eastern team in theory to reach the world cup was Israel in Mexico 1970 (I don't know if they were in UEFA or not back then)
Of course Iran qualified in Argentina 1978.
Then Kuwait in 1982, Iraq in 1986 with UAE setting the world alight in Italia 90 with the played 3 lost 3, which lets face it was as good a record as the USA managed in 1998.

G.C.C is somewhat like the European union, GCC stands for Gulf Co-operation council, the citizens of these countries are like minded in terms of culture and social life.
Kuwait was the first GCC country to enter the world Cup and thanks to Abdullah Al Balushi.

They are more like minded as 30 different countries than compare to 3 neighbouring Arab countries!
