Compound Villa Available to Rent in Riyadh
I am leaving Saudi at the end of June but still have 5 months of tenancy left on my villa which I paid for upfront.
That being the case I am sub-letting my villa for 5 months from July1 to November 31st?
Details as follows:
Location: Al Waha Garden Village (near Eid Compound and Granada Mall)
Tenancy: 5 months from July to November
Rate: 6000 SAR per month (30,000 SAR total) payable on handover
Type: Single bedroom villa
I will let on a first come/ first serve basis.

Be careful of sub-letting from an individual on a compound, you will have no rights at all, ie water, electricity, problems, you cannot go to the landlord, l know the Al Waha compound, you wouldn,t want to live thier. Saudi law prevents the individual from sub letting without the owners consent, check this before you enter into any agreement

Thanks Ed. Do you know of any good hotels that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg?

Hi Shredder,
I've been in country two weeks now and am staying at the MENA-Riyadh off Olaya road.... Not sure what you class as an "arm and a leg" but I'm getting a good sized room and breakfast for 319SAR a night.
http://www.mena-riyadh.com if that helps......
Also looking for Villa on compound but really looking for 3 / 4 BR
Cheers,
Tigger99

Hi Mr Edwards,
I could do with a beer but I have quite taken to the "Moussy" malty zero % beer in most resturants.
I am actually quite enjoying the job and Riyadh (getting used to all the quirks) and supprizingly Ok in the heat. Actually going back to the UK Thu AM and back Fri PM.... need to sign papers on house sale, get my hair cut..... oh and see the wife.
I see your a new member also, are you over here or just browsing?

I've got a couple of friends over on Arizona so get over there for a drink on the weekend, however, you know about it the next day! Love the weather here as I've been living on the Isle of Man for the past 6 years. You'll never hear me complain that it's too hot!

Hey Shredder,
I know what you mean about getting arround..... I bought a road map and all the street names are spelt differently than the actual road signs.... and the locals and taxi drivers know them by a different name... Crazy city and a bit of a nightmare when trying to find out of the way villas or even the rental agents....
Still must plod on "stiff upper british lip" and all that.
Looking at a nice 4BR villa with a pool in Al Wadi area tomorrow for the second time, wife needs photos and going home tomorrow night for 41 hours.
Its not on a compound, as a backup plan.... then there is buying furniture.....
