Default Christian items in Qatar

Can anyone advise on the rules about bringing Christian items into Qatar and possessing then in private? I am speaking about jewellery with a crucifix on and a bible. If they are kept in private accommodation and not exhibited in public is this allowed?
Thank you

No problem mate bring them with you. They even have a christian church in Doha and have services on a Sunday etc. Don't go myself so don't know too much about it.

Thanks.
I asked, because I have looked at reports about this church, and what I have read says that it is permitted, only as long as it does not ring any bells or display any Christian symbols outwardly.
Therefore I wondered about whether there were laws relating to bringing such symbolic items into the country, or possessing them.
Can anyone elaborate on this specifically please?
Neil

It must be a sign of how progressive the qatari's have become, and tolerant.

To be honest compared to most western (and even many non-western) countries even the so called 'moderates' are actually incredibly intolerant folk.

Still if I get my 30foot cross in I'll delete this post...
