I've just been given the 'envious' task of searching for one bed hotel apartments for a month's stay.

My gaffer says there should be some available for 150/250 dibs a day. Had a look, not a bloody chance.

Yup Golden Sands (behind and to the north of the 'new' Spinnys essentially) is the place to look.

all the ones around alraffah police station do 200 a day mate
new peninsula is just across the road for me and I had a friend stay there for 4 days and nights, for 220 they threw in the buffet breakfast (which was ok I guess)

Golden Tulip is a good bet as well, I stayed there and it was very clean and modern.

yep just shy of the meena bazar
360 days of the year I like living here as everything is so close by
but there are rare occasions when I wish I was living in RAK, away from all the cement and pavement

I am living in the Doha version of Bur Dubai's Golden Sands area (Al Sadd) and 80% of the area has no pavement and what does exist is mostly under parked cars. Try walking around here
