Centralised list of doctors in the UAE??
Does anyone know if such a thing exists? Preferably one showing their qualifications. I can't find anything on the Ministry of Health website, nor on the DoHMS site.
Many thanks

Cheers MM.
I have tried to be friends with google and there is nothing on obvious sites. I suspect I am being very optimistic.

Is the Health Service federated?
I know most hospitals have comprehensive lists but that's a tedious m.o.

DOHMS used to keep a list of physicians operating in the public sector while Dubai Healthcare City were looking over physicians operating in the private sector in the healthcare city. Today, all regulation of physicians (private or public) is done under Dubai Health Regulatory Agency. They have a list of about 5,000 physicians who have been asked to register here http://dhralicensing.org
to have their accreditation reviewed.

Re: Centralised list of doctors in the UAE??
Abu Dhabi licensing is under HAAD - Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (who used to be GAHS). Their managing arm is SEHA (which for the life of me, I can't remember what the acronym stands for right now)
The Federal overseeing body is the MOH (Ministry of Health) though the "muscle" of the MOH is limited as the emirates seem to have more control over their own
On HAAD's website (or was it SEHA's), there is a list of doctors, clinics and hospitals. Also, SEHA has a statistic portion where the 2007 Health Stats for AD report is. DHA does not, though you can go to DHA's website and find the clinics who have signed up to be a part of the new health scheme.
IMHO, AD has a MUCH user friendly website that DHA.
Oh, the Northern Emirates are kind of bundled together but no real regulating body other that the MOH, I think. Though there is talk of making a regulatory body for the NE.
Also, the MD's in Dubai were to register to have their credentials re-verified for licensing by Jan 31st. They expected 5000 but only got 3000. Hmmmmm.........
