Default Car cleaning and other spammers

FYI anyone spamming or planning to

Don't just drop in and start a thread spamming some info and a number.

Seriously, if that is your marketing plan it sucks.

Adds are banned here for a reason. Spam twitter all you like you wont get deleted, would still be shitty marketing but hey ho.

Here's a tip on how to build an online audience, generate some leads etc.

Put a link to your business in your signature, join the forum properly, join in on discussions and provide useful information where relevant and laughs when needed, engage with your potential customers. DO NOT try to sell anything to us.

This goes for any online actions done by you on behalf of your business.

Join and interact with the community, contribute to it, be a useful and interesting presence, by doing so you will show us that you maybe aren't a dick and that just maybe as a good guy you run a decent business we should use.

People do want to learn about new businesses that they could use or services that might help them but as a rule spam not only pisses people off but it generally tells us that you don't know what you are doing, if your advertising sucks then in all likelihood so does your business.

Its not ****ing rocket science

Plus, don't get all incensed when people comment or report your post, you are the person breaking the rules, all they are doing is to point that fact out to you, and also don't get annoyed if that person doesn't live in the area you are in, it's an open forum and anyone can read any post anywhere, and reply to thm.

That pretty much sums it up...and for those who get stuck in and involved with the forum, it pays off because people always offer referrals to people who have helped out freely on the forums and who aren't dicks.
