Someone did mention a place in Dubai and said they'd send me a map but never did, I know for sure I'll get lost if I try and find this place in Sharjah,

Indeed!! But I had my reasons.....unfortunately, and C4 is not exactly a pleasant experience either! Loads of places of 1st floor of the Mall of Emirates (C4 end I think). Or second hand through Dubizzle?

we will go to ikea at some point, for plates and bits and pieces, but not keen on the furniture there.

And I bet they don't do pork meatballs like back home?

Behind Marlin Furniture in Karama (opposite Zabeel Park) you will find loads of small furniture shops as I think I have mentioned on a similar thread earlier.

they do meatballs but think they are turkey.

They do an interesting salmon pudding for Dhs19...ask for some white sauce to go with it or else its rather dry.
