This has just been posted on UKinBahrain apparently from an HR department for a well established company in Bahrain.
"We would like to inform of the new rule passed by the immigration regarding visit visas.
Any application will be rejected if the applicant has visited Bahrain and stayed for 3 months - and applies for a visit visa again soon after exiting Bahrain.
An Visit visa Application can be re-applied for any such individual only after 6 months from the date of departure."
If true, not good news for those of us who are still trying to get residency sorted. I forsee a whole lot of expats exiting Bahrain pretty soon!

Surprised nobody had replied to this, but have there been any updates that make it sound better for you?
What impact is this likely to have on somebody not yet arrived, whose (first) visa application is currently being processed?

Greetings!
Though no fault but my own my residency has become distressed. Fingers crossed I will have it shorted soon though!
Anyway, I have had to do a few visa runs over the last year+ or so, the most recent last week. I returned from Dubai Wednesday evening, filled out the form and being British asked the chap for three months. Not one question asked, not one! Pay, stamp stamp and done.
Let's hope this is Bahrain's rumour control at its best.
Cheers
