I'm flying to dubai on tuesday with emirates from the uk. the baggage allowance on the ticket still states 20 kilos baggage allowance.
I intend to take a suitcase, a large holdall, golf clubs and guitar plus laptopo bag as hand luggage. anyone know anything about the excess charges, are they strictly enforced? what about the guitar - can i carry that as hand luggage too? Anyone with any experience of this? For BA, I think its now one suitcase and one golf bag to be checked in. I avoid them at all cost, but don't want to drag my soapbox out. Emirates have always been fine with us...some friends who visited were well over the limit and nothing was said. |

Re: baggage allowance
Emirates are a lot more flexible travelling from this end rather than UK. You definately will not be able to take the guitar on board as hand luggage so its either check it in or leave it behind. Hand luggage sizes are now roughly the size of an average laptop case.
