PS - What's happened to the Desado stuff? I went looking for it the other day...

The company went tits up earlier this year. It was nothing like what it was supposed to be and ended up being a huge anticlimax. A year and a bit of my life I will never get back...

It would all depend on your situation and what living standard you're used to

However, I would suggest that a salary of >20,000 AED would give you a decent life in the UAE. Don't forget that you will have to do some savings.. But be careful signing up on the off shore saving plans offered by the "Financial Advisors" here in DXB (it's a total rip-off)..

If it's 8K plus accommodation then you're laughing all the way to the bank. If not then you'll have to think about where you want to live a bit more.

Finally a thread with a bit of something to it.

Well we are stereotyping whole countries, Pakistanis - all drive small lorries, wear silly clothes and smell - Never met a good one yet.

(And Scamp, Seems that all but 1 Aussies are helmets, You cannot reclassify a helmet country because of 1 person. Maybe they were half English or something)
