Re: Arabian Ranches
The Millhouses went to visit Arabian Ranches and Mirdif today.
Mirdif wasn't for us... those planes were just too low and it was a little dis-jointed. Arabian Ranches we did like though. A bonus is that compared to Jumeriah 1 it's as cheap as chips as well as being nice.
but...
Where are the nurseries? The one on the camp site seems fully booked... so where else is there?

Would you consider Jumeria 2? 160-170k will get you a 3 bed, newly refurbed villa on beach road! We live here and think it is a brilliant little find.

On the noisy Beach Road?! You've been had! How about 4 beds, 5 bath between Al Wasl & Beach Road for AED 160k?

Yep, pretty sure all of 'New Dubai' was handed to dU to get them started in their 'competitive' industry....

One more question... We have found a school for mini-millhouse - The Dubai British School - in the medows 6/ spring 3. How long will it take Lisa to drive from the Ranches to the school gate for 8am?

Re: Arabian Ranches
Ideally go for Springs 2 or Meadows 6. Both are walking distance (when not too hot) from the school, Spinneys mall and have great parks & 4 pools. You can cycle/walk/run/skip round the lakes that are behind Springs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6.
AR is just too far from DBS.

With Mini-Millhouse at DBS you would be better off living in the Lakes, Springs or Meadows. The majority of DBS kids live in those communities and they benefit hugely from being near their friends.

Any idea of the commute time?
