Applying for a visit visa in KSA

Is it easy to get a visit visa for a UK national while living in KSA. I will be moving to Riyadh shortly and wanted to apply visit visa for someone (not family, just a friend).

Easy (reliatively) for spouse (oposite gender), children, parents and step-parents. That's it.
Impossible for the others.
