Just wondered if anyone actually likes Doha?

Yeah, love it...it's ****ing wicked.

Especially because when I get off the plane in Doha, I know I only have to be there 11 hours until I get back on a plane to Dubai.

You were only here 3 hrs 34 mins , not exactly a pioneers tour into the unknown

Doha is what you make it . It's a bog standard Arab city just like most of the others .

As long as you're paid well and have a decent social circle there's plenty to do. It's also handy for doing a bit of travelling and Qatar Airways fly almost everywhere.

Don't expect the " Its just like Dubai but smaller " because you'll be very disappointed .

People come to Qatar to earn money , it's not a holiday resort or a tourist trap and the attitudes here can be prehistoric to say the least but work is work and that's why i'm here .

I like it, but I have a very good social life and don't have to deal with too many ****wits on a day to day basis. Its the same as going on a butlins holiday, the resort is generally a shit hole that's falling apart but its what you make of it that makes the difference.

"Like"....well, that's kinda pushing it...tolerate, endure...that's more like it.

Doha is total sh*thole - unless you are going to be paid a whopping salary it ain't worth it.
