Default Any SAP consultants in this forum?

Hi all
Out of curiosity does anyone work as a SAP consultant in Dubai?
As the story goes I've been offered a position with the UK company and blah blah blah ... but the more I read this forum the more confused I get.
Why would companies hire expats at 25k+ per month if (as everyone says) they can hire Asians for 1/5 of the price?
In any case all the IT posts I’ve seen so far seem to be from application/web development guys and not SAP ERP (or like ) consultants. What' the story with SAP, is it happening in Dubai?

Welcome to the site

There was some one asking about SAP before, don't know if there was an answer though, but you could do a search of the forum for it.

And reason why a company might want to pay higher for a non-asian, be purely prejudice, they don't like 'em...it happens.

Thanks Bob. There was a thraed about SAP long ago ( 2yrs or so), but nothing recent. The deal i'm getting from the company sounds OK and from all the commentsit looks like Dubai is a nice place to live for a while and my kids would probably love the beach.

Why would they hate the beach? My kids could spend days in the water.
We are currently living in Cape Town and the biggest complaint I have about this place is that the sea is very cold, in summer max temp of the water is 18-19C (on a good day). Normaly it is 16 to 18.And on top of it it sea is almost always rough.Other than that CT is OK.

My kids spend all day in the water but not the beach, I don't like public beaches, in fact I don't like public much...I much prefer a controlled environment........that is as anal as I get LOL
