Default Any nitro remote control car users out in Dubai ?

Perhaps envisaging a second child hood but whilst in the UK I have been looking at nitro fuelled remote controlled buggies that look like they could be fun in the dessert back home.
Does anyone know if they are legal to bring in and if you can buy nitro fuel in dxb ?

I had one in Bahrain, good fun. Brought it to Dubai but gave it to my bosses son, I think they still use it.

They bought the fuel over here so you should be ok.

Some of the good model shops have closed, not sure if the original one in Diera is still going.

Many thanks for that. Time for a shop then. Got to resist getting a helicopter whilst there.

go to dragon mart and buy a cheap Chinese one.

After 3 or 4 replacements plus parts you'll either stop destroying them and can spend some real money or you wont and will realize its easier and cheaper to just stand on the street tearing up your money

Lol that's the reason I am getting a nitro car and not a helicopter even though the latter is what I really fancy but as I am crashing my iPad chopper, it would've a tad foolish

lol, there are actually a few ipad apps that are pretty damn accurate as a simulator. I also got a controller that plugs into the pc to work as a sim thats pretty good (would have been nice if i had got that before destroying 2 machines though!)

I got a helicopter from Dragonmart, 100dh and it's still going strong after a few big hits.

Good fun, and for 100dh no worries about killing it.

I used to fly nitro planes - when I was about 10-14 (then I discovered girls and the smell of burning castor oils just wasn't the same). What an amazing hobby. I've always considered restarting it...

Go helicopter or planes, the cars are for the retards who can't think in 3 dimensions.

There used to be a small air strip for planes at Nad al Sheba, not sure if it still there.

Went up a few times years ago and was surprised at how busy it was, some of the planes very impressive.

Yup, I know it. I drive past it on the way home and look over - I keep meaning to check it out.

I used to fly 5ft wingspan planes... in fact, I even was on the local model shop's display team and flew at some shows. doubt I can remember it now though, it's not easy!
