Default Any Info For Compound Accommodation in Riyadh?

Im a 29 year old British expat and wondered if anyone could please inform me if they know or have an acquaintance that I could contact in order to find myself some shared accommodation on a compound?

Please message me with the details. Many many thanks.

Dominic

Hi Dominic

This might help you, but its not shared accommodation.I live in Compound 23, its a small compound off Exit 14 on the ringroad. One part of the compound consists of studio apartments that they only rent to males, it also has a gym and a small pool and you can still have female friends over and normal compound freedom etc. Its 45,000 SAR rent a year though i`m not sure if its full at the moment, they seem to be doing various renovating work on some of the apartments so they may be available soon.Have a look at compound23.com for more info.

Cheers,
Ollie.

Hi Ollie,
I’m also looking for accommodation, do you know if there are any 2 bedroom available, do you have any idea about the price range. Also I would like to ask you regarding the nationalities of compound 23’s residents.
Thank you a lot for your assistance. Much appreciated.
Samy

I went down to look at COmpound 23. Looked alright enough. Not a large compound, more like a series of small walled apartment complexes. But each has a pool and gym room. Rooms were good too and it was affordable.

From what I remember it was remarkably cheap. Don't quote me but I have the impression it was around SAR60-65k. And they allow you to pay monthly rather than up front for 12 months.

Hi Samy
The people i`ve met on the compound are brits and also some lebanese guys.
As for the price i think the villa's (not sure if 2 or 3 bedroom) are 90SAR a year and the studio apartments are 45SAR a year. As for availability i`m not sure, give them a call and i`m sure they`ll let you know.
Ollie.

Asasco - in the middle of shopping distric of Olaya. nice size apartments / pool .Also opposite to a good hospital so it is a busy neighborhood

used to be nice place to live in the 90's ( i lived there then ) zero securtiy though.. still the same!

not in too much danger ..... more of a privacy issue than anything else.

Intersting fact - only 300 yrds from the home of Osama Bin Ladin as if anyone is interested .

Dont know what your budget is but there are better places.

Asaco Village is made up of 5 seperate apartment complexes , 3 are set aside for medical housing for a couple of hospitals, 2 are family / batchelor accomodations these face the Hamadi Hospital and all its goings on. The ppols are ok the gyms outdated. used to have a small restaurant but now long gone... there are loads close by anyhow.... not real need to cook in. unlsee you want to/

I hope they have changed or updated the furniture it was a bit outdated last time i was there. I do still live in riyadh likely be here for a long time yet too.
