OK. I am in the process of applying for my Alcohol Licence Not worried about being arrested particularly, but the "I've-left-it-at-home" nightly charade at Spinney's is getting a bit tiresome.

Anyway, the fee is AED 2,800!!! To be honest, I am quite shocked. I thought it would be much less than this.

Well my company in their infinite wisdom got me a poxy Sharjah Visa, so hence got to apply to their Police department. Don't think I'll bother! Good job I don't drink much really!

Yes. 20% of your annual salary is the fee for the Licence, and you are allowed to spend 20% of your monthly salary per month on alcohol. So yes, the figures are the same.

Sam, Im with Blue Cat. I was under the impression that it was a nominal fee for the licence and 20% of annual salary as spending limit.......

If thats the case in AD, thank Christ Im in Dubai.......

no i have a Dubai booze license and as far as i am aware, my FZE visa suffices, however when i obtained this license, i had a DXB visa....

when you get your new licence you will need it stamped by your FZ. That applies to all FZ employees.
same applies for slary certificates. normally one from you company will not suffice, it has to be from the FZ.
