Default Aerospace Engineering

My brother is doing aerospace engineering at university and he has a placement year in sept2008... he's been looking at BAE in the UK but does anyone know if they have an office in the UAE or if there are any other companies that deal with that sort of thing out there?

They have a small office in AD. Also they have a JV operation with GAMCO for the Hawk trainer jets.

If he's looking for a UAE career in aero, then he may want to thinak about DAE as a potential employer.

There is also the Abu Dhabi UAV company doing some interesting work here.

Thanks a lot I'll let him know, didn't realise there would be that many options out there!

In terms of funding, they are huge & have been busy in making acquisitions of (mainly US) aerospace co's. What remains to be seen in how much work they actually bring in to Dubai....

In Abu Dhabi, Mubdalla is also making strong moves to bring more aero industry into the country...
