So what I think I may do is find an employer and aim to be getting out there mid July and then see if I can sort the residency visa out without the degree and maybe get it sorted retrospectively.

You have quite a laid back attitude towards everything, you will settle in over here just fine.

But if you really want to fit in when you are living here, don't forget to complain about the traffic, rent and newbies that ask questions that 'everyone in Dubai' knows the answers to.
