What do you think of working for ADIA in Abu Dhabi? Is it a good employer (working conditions, job security, bonus, promotions...)?
Thx in advance

Re: ADIA
Have a look in the 'ME Job Discussions' thread, I know there's been recent stuff about ADIA in there.
Oh, and 'job security' only exists for Nationals over here.

Unlike at my place............. all the "Utility Workers" (tea boy, maintenance man, etc) just got a AED 1,000 per month pay rise........ they're on 3,500 now.....

Let's say I'm not a tea boy, have nothing against them as they earn their life honestly. Having a 33k basic, is it a good place to work for?

If you are young, female and Chinese, do not - under any circumstance - accept a job in the emirates. Especially if you are going through a friend and not dealing directly.

I'm just wondering about the work place, not the financial terms. Is it a good place to work for?

Mrs Norm managed just fine - that said she was recruited by an international hotel chain and did alright all things considering (salary was rubbish though). She's now working with a US construction consultants and is doing quite well.

Re: ADIA
Why not? We know plenty of young, female Chinese who are working here and aside from the usual crappy, passport based salaries and racism from all quarters those who keep themselves to themselves do ok.
