Default ACRO Check

Well after months of back and forth looks like the job offer has come through. Just wanted some information as I have a section 444 against me. I took my son on holiday and even though he had 97% attendance from September to the April I contested and still lost. So now Im being told I have a criminal record. If this is correct will this affect my chances of a visa?

Thanks in advance

You don’t know if you have a criminal record? What does your ACRO Police Certificate say?

I have just applied for that now although does say it takes a month. I believe as it went to court and we lost you automatically gain a Section 444 under the Education act against your name. Just seeing if this was the case how it would affect my chances

What sentence did you get? It does look as if it will be on record as a conviction if you were found guilty in court. I know this may not be your local authority but the rues are pretty much the same nationwide.

Whoa. We was never sentenced just a fine. And never interviewed under caution. Looks like conditional discharge is the nearest for my case. I just pleaded guilty by post and then the fine came through of which I’ve paid

A fine is a sentence.
A sentence is whatever a court deem is appropriate when you are convicted, that can include a fine, a con discharge, a prison term etc.

So should I be expecting the worse when it comes to the visa?

I have no idea. I know absolutely nothing about visas for the Middle East, or the rules around them regarding convictions. Sorry.

I highly doubt a fine will stop you getting a UAE visa. I know of people who were convicted of drunk driving in the UK and were never rejected by immigration.
