Thanks for the wonderful help on last question.

Im just negocatiating righ now and need to have an approximate figure in my head. Where Icurrent am at the moment, acommodation is on top of my amount, for fully furnished and all bills included. Im paying about 1500 dollars a month (2 bedroom - former Soviet Union Oil Town)

1) Do companies normally include Accomodation?

2) If not how much should I factor in fo Doha?
How much approximately should I expect to pay for an apartment in Doha (gym,pool - 1 / 2 Bedroom )

3) Is the norm empty or Part furnished?

4) Are bills included

5) any decent recommended links to find property?

Rent semi furnished QR 8,000 to 13,000, add 2,000 for furnished. Bills 1,000 +. You can pay a lot more and maybe a bit less.

You can find properties advertised on the net. They will give an an idea of prices but none of those advertised are actually available. So don't waste time selecting anything. You need to waste time contacting agents, and being shown a lot of crap once you get here.

Companies either include accommodation or an allowance. The norm is either furnished or semi furnished which means AC, cooker, fridge and washing machine. Both are equally available.

Bills not usually included, but you can negotiate.

No decent links - get here try a few agents until you find one who has some concept of what of what you are looking for and doesn't waste your time showing inappropriate crap.

You'll get better value from a compound villa here , most of the apartments are shite , for anything decent you be paying high end for average return .

Current appartment:
1 bed, fully furnished, communal gym, no pool, utilities included, inner city Doha (old Al Salata), nice enough, QR5750/m.

Last appartment:
3 bed, fullly furnished, with pool, crap communal gym, utilities included, inner city Doha (North Bin Mahmoud), bit dated, QR 7700/m.

Next, I'm thinking of the new Ezdan development(s) in Wakra which are actively being marketed just now. Say 30-45mins journey time to the centre of Doha at rush hour,so not too bad. Close to the airport too, which gives me comfort...

1 year contracts - pay by 12 post dated cheques. You might get a better deal with a 2 year contract.

You can get a furnished apartment for QR 5,000 month, you have to have a passion for drainage smells and smells of curry cooking 24 hours a day. Depends you are single, married or with family, Apartments on The Pearl are very popular, many are moving here from compound villas. Minimum price QR 9,500 month for 1 bed semi furnished.
