No, I am not working at the mo, worked before, but without wanting to be racist, am not keen on beeing friends with Filippinas.....

It's not that I don't have friends, I just miss the convenience of going next door for a cuppa etc. Due to the traffic and hectic lifestyle people just don't have time for each other anymore.
And I guess they are continuously annoyed because of traffic etc.
See, the difference in Saudi is that people have time to spend with each other, and entertainment is available without having to drive etc,.
Oh, I am not in Dubai!

only if you have to go over the bridges...otherwise it's not a problem. I'm lucky cos I live within walking distance of my fave bar...

Yes, life inside the compounds can be ok (although there are not the parties that there used to be !!)
But outside its still a crap environment

my dad worked in Jeddah for a while and we used to go over for extended periods and I loved it. BUT I was 13 and it was a whole lot more interesting than my home town was for a lass of that age. I have the most amazing memories of it and I am glad I had that opportunity. That was 20 years ago. That nearly had me choking.... 20 years ago... shit...
