Any advice on when to start searching to shift after second year would be appreciated.
Most decent schools in Dubai offer tuition for children. Most decent schools however have finished most of their recruiting.

What age do you teach and what is your subject, if any.

The best place to keep an eye on is the TES and also expatwoman, though they will only usually advertise local hire.

Thanks,

I am looking to teach Grade 1 but can teach KG1 up to Grade 2. I agree that the good schools will have recruited for the 2012 intake, I am wandering when one should start applying for 2013 intake? Are all the schools in Jumeirah, Jebel Ali really popular for prospective teachers? Are any other areas of Dubai recommended?

Thanks for all comments.

Schools to look out for:

DESS, JESS Jumeirah, JESS Ranches, Jebel Ali, Horizon, Wellington International (SHK ZD Rd), Wellington Primary School (SHK ZD Rd), JPS, English College.

There are also schools opening all the time. Star International is an example of this. They could be good, but who knows?

Then anything else needs t be looked at on a case by case basis.

There is a wide spectrum of standards in Dubai schools both from a teaching perspective and a salary/package perspective.

What you need to do is, when you see a job, ask about the school on here (as you have done). I am also happy for you to PM me and I will help as much as I can.
