Single status. Will employer enable vias for dependants to visit ? If so, who pays for tickets ? And health care during stay ?
What is quality of accommodation ? Arabian Homes or some Lascar Labour Camp ?

Hi,
Thanks for the replies, just phoned my friend and she has an older daughter at Uni (who comes home most weekends) so she wants to spend time in Saudi and time at home and thought she could just do that. Her husband will be working for an Australian company via a Saudi company but she is now going to ask her husband about visa's for her and to ask where the accommodation is, other than that is the salary and everything else good for Saudi?

"Housing within local area"
I am not sure what that means. If it is not on a compound you might find it inappropriate for dependants.

Salary is great.
If the company can arrage for regular visit visas for his dependants then that would help.

Accommodation could be an issue. Is it suitable for visiting dependants ?

He should ask for confirmation that he will be under WORK visa, not under BUSINESS visa.
This suggest thet you may be on business visa with regular visa runs.
In accordance with Saudi Labour Law it is illegal to work under business visa and therefore no EoS benefits. And of course - no family visits.
And if he gets caught up working - notice period will be to leave the country in 24 hours.
It may be like this: Saudi Arabia Riyadh box housing camp- Lida Group

If it is a business visa then proceed with caution. You should not be working on that type of visa.

Thanks once again for the advice, I know my friend and her OH are very grateful.

When he has iqama he can bring family on family visit visa up to half year with possible extension. He needs to check if his PROFESSION on work visa and iqama is eligible for this. Single status means that flights, medical insurance and acommodation for the family are on his own costs though.
