Hi everyone,
My wife, daughter and I are currently planning to move to Dubai by summer 2022. Just a quick question in regards to policing/government jobs in Dubai.
I am currently employed at South Wales Police as a research/data quality staff officer specialising in Data protection intelligence etc. I can see from a brief look at vacancies that a lot of government portal jobs are UAE national only? Is it very unlikely that I will be able to find a similar job in Dubai in this sector?
cheers

None existent at the moment. I guess I need to get learning. It's just a general query really as to whether they employ non UAE nationals

Priority is given to UAE nationals. There are roles available for western expats, but salaries aren’t what they used to be and don’t expect longevity, unless you know the right people or have a niche or are super experienced.
It’s far easier and convenient for public sector organisations to bring in a seconded resource from a western framework supplier than hire permanent staff. The best secondees tend to be hired so that would be an option if the direct permanent route doesn’t work out.

Take a lesson on dog handling within the police.....pretty sure the queue for the K9 jobs are quite short
