Oman job vacancies - Difficult to find
Hi everyone,
I have been looking online for university teaching positions in Oman. Every time I look there are no vacancies!! This can't be right. Do they have very low faculty turnover?

No I didn't try it.
I've been looking in "higheredjobs" where I got my current job. I also looked in the actual university websites.

Although I appreciate that academia is different from industry, there must be similarities inasmuch that if you restrict your search to just one website plus employers you'll only be seeing a small part of the market. Last time I was jobhunting I was registered with over 50 agencies...

Although I appreciate that academia is different from industry, there must be similarities inasmuch that if you restrict your search to just one website plus employers you'll only be seeing a small part of the market. Last time I was jobhunting I was registered with over 50 agencies...
I have been checking all of the university websites.

Again, industry may differ from academia, but often companies won't advertise positions, particularly senior ones if they're looking to replace someone who doesn't know s/he's destined for the sack.
