Default Kaust interview experience

Hi everyone,
I have applied for a postdoctoral research fellow position at kaust. Professor has already agreed on hiring and now I am awaiting pre approval from HR department. I expect an interview in January.

It'd be really kind if anyone could share their experience of administrative interview(s) with HR department. Moreover, what salary should I expect? I am a fresh Electrical Engineering PhD graduate with 5 years of pre PhD teaching experience.

Thanks

What a terrible forum. I believe there are people who have worked at KAUST but no help whatsoever. Really disappointed

Sorry - I think we're all too busy with real jobs to respond.

Keep up the teaching. Society needs you, apparently.

People give help if/when they can. I'm sure you're disappointed that your particular query wasn't answered, but the thousands of people this forum has helped with numerous issues, including obtaining visas and citizenship, would seem to disprove your 'terrible forum' comment.

I worked in Saudi Arabia for 17 years but nver met anyone who worked at KAUST. I do not think I shoulkd be asked to apologice for that ! I think it extremely unlikely that anyonne here on this forum has worked at KAUST.

is ther no forum aavailable for Muslim Academics helping each other out ?

You should be careful with what you say on here dude. Nobody owes you a reply. But condescending comments like that one surely won't sit well with the keyboard warriors of BE especially if your forum name gives away your racial background.

As far as I am aware there have been people enquiring about this plae in the dim and distant past but there has been no-one in a very long time that has posted that they applied and then worked there. A search of BE only throws up some very old posts and threads. I cannot think of anyone at all that is currently working there & is posting about that.

Not that I should but I would go along with the suggestions made that you look to a FB group or a dedicated chat forum for those interested in or working at KAUST.

If you look through the ME posters you will see that BE isn't really the place to find the folks you are looking for.

Good luck.
