Re: Doha: Good or Bad time to go
Just to alert anyone considering a move that all non-corporate VPNs are now banned in Qatar (fully blocked). This happened a few days ago due to a major security breach last week (apparently, don't ask me the details).
Corporate VPNs are still active, for now. Who knows how much longer.
For those who don't know, VPNs are popular for downloading/streaming, Skyping, and yes, you know

Maybe it's just the free, non-corprorate V.PNs that are blocked in Qatar. Skype and Torrents are working just fine for me, and I don't see how they could be blocked, given that there are dozens of servers in multiple countries to choose from and can auto-change my IP every 45 minutes

I'm using Torrent and Xhamster without a problem (in a hotel tho) Using ICQ for video calling between Doha and Dubai, works fine.

I would be more than happy to go back to Qatar. I spent four and a half years there, no problems for me. Regular exits help and are I think important but other than that life as a paid slave is not so bad. Anyone got a job for me?
