I think you have been told before that this work is usually done by the more than capable Asian Workforce at a fraction of the price that you would command as British tradesman. Do a search on Construction Companies in the UAE and see if you can find one that is still trading .....

I was told by a gentleman over in the UAE that basic carpentry jobs ie, hanging of doors, fitting skirting boards, dry lining were all that the filipino, pakistani and indian workforce were expected to carry out,but when it came to fitting out some of the fabulous hotel receptions and bar areas of new establishments. The specialist and high quality fitting out was mainly carried out by western tradesmen. Please correct me if im wrong. cheers

I have never seen a European tradesman doing stuff like that over here, more is the pity.

Or, if you still don't believe us, come on over and find out for yourself...

Even the companies, owned by British expats that advertise as being up to British standards do not hire British chippies, sparkies etc...

Just a bit lol.

It doesnt really make any sense either....

To the guy initially asking - try speaking to Green Line interiors. All I know is they work on palaces and yachts doing high end interior fit out work. The demographics of their work force is not something I know anything about so if its a dead end then I apologise. But still, give them a go and you can maybe here from the horses mouth whatever it is they have to say. Good luck.
