Default Yo-Yo package

Well i had the K1 interview as most know, on the 6th April,

I had to send in another I-134 as the one i gave had mistake on it with regards to tax returns and income on it.

I sent in another I-134, the courier called me yesterday and said "the packet is now somewhat heavier then when you sent it in we need you to pay another £5 for it" so i did she then said "you'll have it back tomorrow before noon!

I got a txt at 5pm saying the same thing.

I called the courier service today to find out where they were as it was 12:30 in the afternoon. They said at 4pm yesterday the embassy asked the courier to take my documents *back* to the embassy.

Im confused by this, my mum has decided to think that the embassy merely forgot to put something in the envelope.

Im however anxious as to whats going on, have been told to email the embassy which I've done but it says I wont get a reply for 3-4 days.

The courier service says they dont know when they'll get it back.

*sigh*

anyone experienced this or want to give ideas why the embassy asked for it back from the courier after they had just given it to them?

Oh my Pep this must be weighing on your mind! Trust me I know how it feels to be confused... I really hope its not anything major and it's just the embassy remembering to add something!

well, i got 2 calls within 5 minutes,

the first was knightsbridge - apparently they need me to have a psychiatric review.

the second was the embassy, they said the visa was approved and in my passport ready to go...however under some kind of program random people with a medical history of mental health get picked to have a psychiatric health review to ensure they are 110% OK.

My first reaction was to cry (not on the phone luckily) Im just so fed up with this all. This is the second time my visa has now been stalled.

So, i have to go to a "well known" psychiatrist in Taunton to do a test and have a review. He then sends the paperwork to knightsbridge, they then send it to the embassy, who then HOPEFULLY send me my visa

I wonder how long this is now going to take...

The knightsbridge doctors should have picked this up earlier, asking you to see your GP to confirm that you are now okay. It is not fair for you to be told at the last minute, this will only build up your anxiety for when you have your appointment with the specialist.

Try to stay calm and release any stress in the meantime, so that when you have appointment they send a fantastic letter stating no mental health issues.

Good luck

Well when i had the appointment with Knightsbridge they asked for a letter from my doctor to say that i was ok and to confirm i wasnt on medication nor needed it. my doctor faxed them the letter, they sent my medical stuff to the embassy. (this was before i had my interview)

Hey Pepsichic,

Sorry to hear about this. Try not to let it get you down - keep your eyes on the target and know that everything will be OK

It's just another, if extremely badly timed, hoop for you to jump through - hopefully the last one before the next chapter of your life begins

Hang in there and keep looking forward

Aww I'm so sorry, that sucks!

Can you go to Taunton asap?

It seems stupid that they wouldn't of asked this after your medical instead of now

At least you know the visa is in your passport though and ready to go just one more stupid hurdle!

I have to admit, its now getting hard to read the threads of people getting their K1's approved when i feel like im stuck in no-mans land

trying to stay positive, its really not working *Sigh*

i havent heard anything still, SO i called knightsbridge on tuesday (monday being a bank holiday) - guess what they are on extended bank holiday till thursday!

So call on thursday, doctor waters is apparently appalled that the psychiatrist hasnt contacted me, will call them and then call me back"

i get no call.

I call today - its Doctors day off today!

*swearing profoundly*

AND as if fate is against me, my cats blood tests have gone "walkies" and when they find them the vet will give me a call so we can maybe, you know work on the pet passport already?

blah.

feel like im getting nowhere with anything now.

Strange she told you that, when I called to book my medical I was told I could have any day that week expect Monday 4th as they were closed for bank holiday. She said you can have Tues 5th, Wed 6th, Thu 7th or Fri 8th.

Glad you you got hold of them tho

After calling knightsbridge almost every day for the last 2 weeks

yesterday they got fed up with the psychiatrist not getting back to me, and Dr.Waters from knightsbridge called them not very happy and next thing i know my phones ringing they have an appointment available tomorrow (today) at 1pm would i like...hell yes about time!

So very nervous, my lovable brother (god im gonna miss him!) drove me to taunton which luckily is only about 30minutes south of where i live.

my brother came with into the review and i got asked a bunch of questions about how im feeling and what im doing etc, i didnt mind these. what i didnt like was whe he started digging into my past, a lot of things i didnt particularly want to talk about. i answered everything as best as i could though.

he said hes going to write a letter saying that he believes my recent episode of depression was due to stress and is not in itself an illness. and that i have learnt how to cope properly with stress.

Hopefully this will be the end of it now. he said it'll take a few days to get it typed up, he'll fax it to knightsbridge and email me a copy too. Knightsbridge then will send it to the embassy with the rest of my medical stuff....

Im a little concerned about one of two things, knightsbridge put down id tried to Overdose recently...which i've a.not done, and b.never said (because i havent) I told the psychiatrist this and he just said "ok"

:s

im tired and feeling a bit...odd really.
