yesterday i callled to DOS i wait like 16 mints to talk wd visa specialist.
after 16 mints lady answer my call and ask me wat i can help u i said i want to check updates in my case she is ask ur non-immigrant visa or immigrant i said immigrant after that she ask me my case number then said told me ur still pending and embassy is working on it.

then i asked her that my AP is internal embassy or it is in washington DC she said i don't know there so many kind of AP i asked her when was last update in my case she said march 23. in the end she told me thats all the informations i have....

thanks i m so worried that wats going on wd my case??? or wats wrong in my case???

There's probably nothing wrong with your case. It is very common for Pakistani citizens to undergo AP. It does NO good to call and ask for updates...they cannot tell you anything. It will be done when it's done.

I don't know how long you've been waiting on AP, but it can be anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of years. So hang in there.

Today i called embassy they told me that i am under AP (internal embassy). My question is what is the different between internal embassy & mandatory AP and what they are doing in internal embassy AP.

I'm not sure why you're bothering to call... they won't tell you anything that you don't already know, and there is nothing you can do to change that.

Off the top of my head, if the name you are using for each process is correct then it would go like this:

Mandatory AP = all beneficiaries must under this procedure to receive a benefit

Internal Embassy AP = administrative processing is done within the embassy and all documentation is verified and security checks done on the beneficary.

You missed:

Washington DC AP = which is when the case is forwarded to the Washington DC office and the administrative processing is conducted from there. This I would assume would be the worst case scenario.

I understand your obsessing with the AP and desperately wanting a decision to be made.

You do know that AP can take months or a year or more depending on what comes up with your name is run through a security check and what comes up when they look at your original documents and they question their authenticity.

Observation: The embassy did something!!!! This was done after the interview!!!! You want to know what this means!!! Also, you have totally missed the favorable thing in your statement!!! Why do you not notice that a relatively short period of time has elapsed since March 23rd???

With respect, from the US government's POV, they are not freedom fighters... they are terrorists - and it is for that reason (not your euphemistic "freedom fighters") that he has to undergo AP.

Trying to cover it up with flowery language does him a disservice.
