Congratulations Kumar..Wish you all the best.

What did she do when she received packet-3? Did she fill in any forms and send back or how did she go about it. Any information will be helpful.
Thanx

Congratulations!!!

I am kind of worried because when my husband went to pick the forms. They did not give him a DS-230. All ge got was the DS-156, the I-134 and DS-2053 for the medical! Should I be concerned?

Hi black label,

my wife send the DS 230 part 1 and covering letter by registered mail , but if you live in mumbai you can drop at the information window between 8.30 am to 11 am.

Hi claudia,

when my wife received packet 3 she received DS 230 part 1 and two copies of DS 156 .

After that she send back DS 230 part 1 and covering letter.
At the time of interview they took DS 156 (two copies) with the passport size two photos.

What questions did they ask ? How long was the interview ? Are you two
of the same ethnic background (and caste) and same age ? If not, what
are the differences.

Its nice to read a POSITIVE experience with Mumbai - my
congratulations to the both of you !!

Regards

Hi Kumar,
Congratulations to both of you.

Have a query regarding the Police Clearance certificate. I have collected one from the Regional passport office and when contacting the local police station they have told me that they do not issue any clearance certificate and have given a sidgned letter that only the Regional Passport office is authorised to issue the Police Clerance Certificate. To be on the safe side I have applied to the the CID office at Marine Lines for the PCC.

I just want to clarify from you what certificate did the local police issue or did your wife also get it from the CID office.

Regards,

Dipty

My fiancee got one certificate from Goregaon and one from Thane - both
from the LOCAL police stations, because she has lived in these two
locations since age 16. There was NO NEED to go to Metro cinema. This
was all done in the past 4 weeks.

And, this was in addition to her PASSPORT PCC which of course is also
needed.

Hope this helps - good luck to you !
