Your writing style does not suggest that you are a 30-year-old, well-educated adult but rather a minor not old enough to be eligible for immigration. (The fact that you have a child is irrelevant; you could be 17 and have a two-month-old baby for all we know.)

Additionally, it was difficult to tell if English is your first language. Your country of origin is relevant because being a K1 applicant from the UK, Canada or Australia is much, MUCH different than being a K1 applicant from India, Russia, Nigeria, etc. This forum is used by people from all over the world, so we cannot assume what country you're from and how that can impact your immigration process.

You can be offended all you want about that, but if you don't want people to assume such things then you should write like the intelligent adult you say you are. Being free-spirited has nothing to do with it.

and just for the record...dont assume anything about me ty very much!!!!!
Lorna, I asked you some questions which are extremely relevant to your potential to immigrate. I asked because I did not want to assume anything from your initial post. If you got offended by being asked these sorts of questions then I can tell you that immigration is definitely NOT for you. Immigration officials assume all kinds of things and ask you these plus other questions which may seem stupid or none-of-their-business. Will you tell them to "shove it" if they ask you something YOU don't feel is relevant?

So, here are my questions again:

~ Have you and your fiance met in person before? If so, when did this happen last?
~ Does your fiance qualify as a financial sponsor for you and your daughter?
~ Do you have the legal ability to remove your daughter from the UK and take her to live in a foreign country?

You may choose to answer my questions or not, but if you don't then you will not be able to obtain the information that you need, be it from this forum or from an immigration attorney.

The debt wont be a problem. I'm still paying off a loan in the UK, and ive been in the US for 4 years (bloody ex-wifes fault).

Start to keep evidence of this being a genuine relationship. Keep airline boarding cards, letters, print some emails between you, photographs etc. This information will be useful when your interviews come along in the future.

You can file for a work permit which allows you to work while your case is waiting adjudication.

Yes you can, but you'll have to show that you have non-immigrant intent at the POE each time.

how long could i estimate in actulally
getting over there to live
Probably somewhere between 5 months to a year or so. Lots of variables involved.

when would i be able to work???
That totally depends on what visa you go for.

also i have arelative that lives out there and was wondering if this would
help at all for my application?
Probably not, No.

and when would i be able to
work??
That totally depends on what visa you go for.

and i do have alittle debt that im hoping to clear before
i go.will this affect my application at all..and if i didnt clear it
could i still go..???
Your debt has no bearing on your visa application.

You will most likely still need to prove you can remove your child from the UK. Your fiance will need to prove his financial status for the affidavit of support. You'll need to get a police report.

Guys, let's try to keep it nice, ok? We're all here to ask and help. To the OP, please try to keep it calm, ok? Thanks.

Immigration and "fun loving" do not go together. You will very quickly find that immigration officials have no sense of humor at all. They will tear your life to shreds with their questions, and you had best be prepared to answer quickly and fully.

You need to think of every post in terms of immigration. You say your boyfriend proposed to you... that makes him your fiance. The two words are neither synonymous nor interchangeable. You can call him a stud muffin if you want, but if the word "boyfriend" slips out during an interview when, in fact, you meant "fiance"... you'll quickly find out what humor is all about. You should choose your words a bit more carefully... immigration is not a "fun loving" experience.

im fully aware that fun loving and imigration do not bode well together
the fun loving was in reference to the rude folks in here that took it
upon themselves to sit analysise and critise my type, calibre and
education!!!!!....i say boyfriend.....as i actually havnt aring
yet!..it was something we were going to choose together when i return
to nyc in november.hence my reference to "boyfriend"....rather than the
offical title of fiance......please dont read so much into this!.but
ty..very much for yr input......very much appreciated

in answers to yr questions....yes yes and yes!.........you say you
didnt assume anything from my first post.but its very clear to me that
you obviously did...i dont actaully care much what people think of
me...!..but....i,m not going to be sat and annalyised by somebody..in
fact nobody..that hasnt any reference to me..or any stratigical input
in my life....who sits and judges and actually knows nothing about me
in the slightest.worst trait of all to judge abook by its
cover!!...invariably the contents.have way more substance and layer
than the obvious!!.now an offical.they can ask me all they want be as
rude as they want.. dig as deep as they want!!.......they have what i
want!.......im happy to let them dig with their questions....as the
questions have a purpose and.. evidently an end result that iam seeking
could have ahuge impact...on a major descision in my life........so in
answer to yr question..i guess no.!! i wont be telling them to shove
it!!..and no i wasnt offended in the least of the questions...what i
took offence to was yr hugely judgmental attitude that dared you to
tar me with a brush...fit for someone without the slightest bit of
intelligence...when infact....all i was after was abit of freindly
advice...u should at least maybe think of being less freer with yr
personal judgements and comments on people especially as that isnt the
criteria i fall into..i was after advice on atopic..not asummary and
evaluation...of the content of my head education values and
origin!..and still even now after reading yr 2nd post....yr judgements
are still there!
