Can someone tell me what my fiance can expect at his interview?

Just to assist people with answering this it may be worth stating what interview it is?

if it is an L1 interview there is quite a bt of info on here if you scout around.

Questions asked seem to be:

How many employees does the company employ in the UK and USA?
Is it a lateral move?
Why should it be you rather than a US citizen?

These are from memory having read other people's experiences though - I will be arranging my interview soon.

Please post in the correct forum. I have moved your inquiry to the marriage based visa forum as your fiancee is going for a Fiancee Visa which is marriage related.

He can expect to answer questions as to his education, career, your relationship, where you met, when you met, how long you have known each other, where he will be living in the US, when the wedding is, etc.

Ok let me rephrase, this is for the K-1 Fiance visa....just wanted to find out how extensive this interview was or if it was mostly paperwork.....

I gave you my reply above. Those were the questions my fiancee was asked by the examiner in Montreal, CA

I attended my fiance's K-1 interview with him in Turkey. He was asked to verify the information on his paperwork was all true and correct, he was asked how we met, how many times we've seen each other, how we correspond and how often (had to show 6 months of most recent original phone bills), what his job is in Turkey, and what he plans to do in the USA. I was asked about my previous marriages, and we were asked to show original photos of us together over the years.

I had mine in Vancouver, the interviewer ask the usual how met, etc.
How often did I visit, photos, etc. In my case they also asked to see my L-1 NOA, in addition to the K-1 stuff. As I worked previously in the states under this visa.


A handy tip if your fiance hasn't done already with all the paperwork he should have by this point. Insert those into plastic binder sleeves and put them all in binder. That way when they request something it will be right at hand.
