Default We've started our petition

I just want to say that this group has been a great help to us in our search
for information, I don't know how Kathy and I could have found out about how
we initiate procedure if we hadn't found it. Every single one of you old
hands deserve thanks for the voluntary help you give to others. I'm sure you
will be a great help to us in the coming months.

Now I'm going into acronym overload. We initiated our petition for a K-3
visa last week by sending an I-130, the G-325A and other required
documentation to TSC. Kathy is the USC and I am the UKC. Below is a listing
of how we've proceeded so far. After having read some of the processing
times being reported on this NG, I have to hope that BCIS an NVC have some
kind of fast track for the over 60s. If not Kathy and I will most likely be
standing at the pearly gates of GSC before we get the visa.

Alfie and Kathy's K-3 Timeline

1.. 02/05/03 - Alfie got Vaccination Certificate from own GP.
2.. 05/05/03 - Alfie applied for Police Certificate
3.. 05/05/03 - Kathy sent I-130 to TSC
4.. 08/05/03 - TSC received I-130
5.. 09/05/03 - TSC sent NOA1.
6.. 16/05/03 - Kathy received NOA1.
7.. 16/05/03 - Kathy mailed I-129f to MSC.

Good for you Alfie, you're off to a good start. My husband has his K3 interview coming up, then flying over for our anniversary, then back to the UK to wait out the pension folks (sigh) getting their act together. Hopefully he'll be here for good before the end of August. Then the adventure begins, . Only cloud on the horizon is just when TSC might get around to approving the 130.
