Glad to hear that you finally got an answer.
At least now you know it's not you personally.

Read in today's issue of the Idaho Statesman, a University of Idaho
student has been arrested in terror probe. Accused of supplying
money, computer help to terrorist group. The man is 34 years old, here
as a foreign student married, 3 kids, from Saudi Arabia, University of
Idaho graduate student working on his doctoral dissertation. Grand
jury indicted him February 13 on 7 counts of visa fraud and four
counts of making false statements to federal officials. Allegations
he created web sites for an Islamic group that praised suicide
bombings and using airplanes against the U.S. He allegedly supplied
money and computer aid. The man, wife and three children live on
campus.

If I was a terrorist, I sure as hell wouldn't be trying to get into the US
using a marriage-based visa ... I think the INS needs to spend their time
investigating the people they let in on employment-based and student-type
visas ... obviously, as we all know, these are the easiest ones to get.

This assumes that we don't have more than enough citizen terrorists already grown on our soil.
Timothy McVeigh was clearly a terrorist. But in my mind so is the Ku Klux Klan, and the White Citizens' Councils and all that rot, yet the word "terrorist" is rarely applied to the tactics still used in some parts of the county by these totally homegrown native citizen organizations.

We don't need terrorists to screw up our elections. That s what we have the Supreme Court for.

Why not? Employment based and student based visas will limit the type of
people.
If the terrorist has no college qualifying background, he probably isn't
going to get a student visa.
If the terrorist is older, and is a freshman, that might raise flags.
If the terrorist doesn't qualify for a work visa or can't find a
sponser, that might be a problem.
Plus, married to a USC shortens the time to naturalization.
Citizens have more opportunities for getting employment that might be
helpful to terrorist organizations.
Remember Kevin Cosner, the Russian in No Way Out.
He came to the US when he was young and eventually worked his way up to
work at the Pentagon.

And everybody knows how movies are reflective of real life. Like, last
summer there was this movie about this guy who was a quasi-spider and he had
all these powers and there was this green goblin...

Wonder if they'll arrest the owners of those companies mentioned in the
report on Iraq for supplying goods illegally to the country.

Are you suggesting that these kind of spys don't or didn't exist? There
was a documentary on the History Channel about this a while back.
