Are we ready? I-129f application...
i've lurked in this forum for over a year now.. and read the stories of so many couples... watched as they have been brought together after long long periods apart..
now.. as i am about to fly to Portland (for what i hope will be my last ever vacation there) with an ALMOST complete I-129f application my mind has gone blank and everything i learnt here has deserted me...
could someone please run their eye over this list and tell me if this looks like we've got it covered.. i've used the cover letter at www.visajourney.com as a guideline and it helped a great deal....
we're including copies of the change of name deeds for myself and daughter as our names are different on some documents.. and obviously we want to try to avoid an RFE... and we're also including a copy of the Declaration by her natural father allowing her to relocate to the USA....
- Payment in the amount of $165.00.

- G-325A and photo (Petitioner)
- G-325A and photo (Beneficiary)
- Copy Birth certificate (Petitioner)
- Copy Birth certificate (Beneficiary)
- Copy Birth certificate (Beneficiaries daughter)
- Copy Change of Name deed (Beneficiary)
- Copy Change of Name deed (Beneficiaries daughter)
- Copy Divorce Decree (Petitioner)
- Copy Divorce Decree (Beneficiary)
- FC-029
- Letter certifying intent to marry (Petitioner)
- Letter certifying intent to marry (Beneficiary)
- Proof of having met in person in the past two years (photos, boarding passes from 2 USA trips and 3 European trips)
- Proof of ongoing relationship (cards, letters, selection of emails, engagement announcement, engagement ring receipt)
- Declaration certifying agreement of relocation of Beneficiaries daughter (Natural Father)
it looks like an awfully long list.. and i do so want to avoid the risk of giving them more than they have asked for... but saying that.. i think everything we are sending is appropriate...
now.. with two shopping days to go.. anyone in Portland want anything from the UK???
