Well, for the site that's for people moving to the USA - that will be for us - the movers were in today - day 1 of the pack - it's finally started!!
One piece of advice for anybody doing this soon - or ever... when your company wants you to be away for 3 out of the final 4 weeks before your move - tell them, nicely, to poke off!!
I got back from the US on Saturday afternoon, jet lagged. Poor wife has been juggling things in my absence - I've been home for just 1 day in that 3 week trip - on my way back from Prague and on to Phoenix I had 1 day at home - just quick enough for some shut-eye and to get clothes washed & ironed!
And of course that last weekend before the move - people want to visit - which is just lovely - we had a super time and appreciate their help, it would just have been better for us if we'd had another few days to finish getting sorted...
Still, it is happening, at last.
Oh, one other thing - as my wife discovered - keep your passports and travel docs very safe and away from errant/stupid husband - who managed to leave them in the scanner which then got packed!!! Luckily, She Who Must Be Obeyed realised what was missing and the day (and my life!) was saved...
A big thanks to BE for advice, help, moral support and UK humour. Just 'cos we're moving doesn't mean we're leaving BE!
Next stop - a rapidly cooling Phoenix - can we cope with it only being around 86'F? I think so!
Cheers
Harry

BE has been a most excellent resource for us and the people very friendly and welcoming so I thought it was time I said 'hello and thank you'.
I am looking forward to the move (I think!) but it is also scary going into the unknown. I am sure all will be well.
I look forward to keeping in touch with people on BE.

I hope the rest of the move goes smoothly for you both.
The passport error reminds me of the time that my H left his in his trousers pocket before putting them through the wash. Two weeks before our wedding and honeymoon
