Hey everyone,
We just recieved our aos interview date for August 10 at 11:15am(thats my bday).just so you know we just filed all of our paper work on april 20 2005. But, we have a problem....well a few actually. so any advice any of you can give us will be helpful. My husband hasnt received his ead but i guess it was approved the 16th. I havent been able to work cause well being deaf in one ear and partially in another doesnt help in getting a job and social security doesnt help me out either.... so we are still at my parents house. they help with alot of things. our problem is this...we have no income at the moment so no bills in both of our names. so how do we go about getting proof. i know we need a joint bank account and we are working on that.. so what else can do we for evidence. we have lots of photos and letters and emails between us. also cards that we have sent eachother.
Will they deny us because my husband hasnt had a ead and us not having bills in both of our names? my husbands been worried since he opened the mail. id appreciate it if any of you can help us.
once again thanks,
rose

No that will not be a cause for denial. Have your parents write a letter attesting that you both are living with them, etc. Collect any cards and letters you received at the address for both of you. If you can open that bank account and bring photos of your wedding, etc.
As for August 10 being your birthday, it is my oldest daughter's birthday as well. My youngest is the 11th. So that should be a good day for you and hubby.
Hope he gets his EAD soon in the mail and can find a job. Will help out with your finances.
A separate note on your hearing. Why are you not wearing a strong BTE hearing aid? I need the strongest in the market and have been able to find the best on Ebay for a mere fraction of what it costs privately as insurance does not cover it and they do run into the thousands of dollars for one aid. There is no reason why you should not be able to hear with at least the Phoenix 313 from Siemens. I got one on Ebay for $200. Could not function without it.

. My moms bday is the 12 so i hope the 10th will be a good day for me. the reason why i dont wear hearing aids is this... my nerves in both my ears dont function they way they should. my left ears nerve is completely shot...the one in my right isnt so bad. but i have had a siemens hearing aid like you wear when i was attending wsu... but because some noises are sharper to me then others. Therefore when i wear hearing aids i get extremely bad migraines so my hearing specialist decided to not have me wear them,. so i just read lips. he says if it gets worse he will do a implant. im not to fond of that idea but we will see how the future turns out. thanks for all your help rete. i really appreaciate it

Hi Rose!
Just wanted to wish you guys good luck at the interview. Bring all the evidence you have....they will understand you don't have your own place and your own bills yet. And, your interview came pretty quickly, so not enough time to have a long paper trail of evidence. They'll take all that into consideration in your case. Tell hubby not to stress.
Best Wishes,
Rene

First of all good luck in your interview. Since u can't work and ur husband's EAD card didn't arrive i can understand the safe way is to fill out I-864A where ur parents would fill it out to back u guys up. U can explain to the immigration officer truthfully and he would understand...
Let us know how ur interview went and god be with u guys.
