James,
It's been 94 days since your first NOA (I checked). Even if it actually takes three times as long to process as the VSC says --63 days -- you've waited that long, PLUS an additional month.
I really don't think you have anything to lose by contacting your rep/senator at this point. If there's nothing wrong with your application, then what's the hold-up?? Don't take one service center rep's word for it. Don't lose another month or more, trying to get through to VSC by phone. I would contact your senator and/or rep ASAP.
To contact your congressperson: http://www.house.gov/writerep/
To contact your senator: http://www.senate.gov/index.htm
(Select your state, and your two senators' names and email addresses will be listed.)
From reading various accounts from people who have contacted their reps and/or senators, the response and effectiveness rate seems to be mixed. Some get immediate response, some get none, while others get the same answers as they'd gotten themselves. I honestly think, though, that it's worth a try, even if it doesn't move anything.
I would suggest emphasizing the fact that 1) you've waited four times longer than the quoted processing time, with no progress to note; and 2) a VSC rep admitted there's nothing wrong with your application. (I hope you got the name of the person you spoke with at VSC.) Hopefully you're rep/senator will be helpful and proactive for your case. I wouldn't wait another week without contacting one or both of them.
Best of luck -- keep us posted...

Jenney,
96 long days now. I should have done something earlier like you
suggested. Thanks. Good luck with your 2nd NOA.

Any NOA2 approvals in Vermont after Oct 18?
Based on all the messages from this and others sites, do you know if anybody got any approvals since Oct 18? That security check is taking too long and I think INS even does not know how long. Anybody?

You can check it out here: http://www.davehollis.com/k1/list.ph...econdnoa&dir=1
The most recent Vermont approval posted is for a US-Swiss couple, dated 11/23 (this past Saturday). They mailed their petition in Oct 4.

Thanks Jenny,
I mailed mine on Sept 19 and still no NOA2. Looks like there are still some out there that sent forms before me and still waiting.
But 1 person approved in 1 week sounds too scary... Hope they'll stop blame security checks for any delays.

Today we received this update on the INS web site, im just curious to what it may be has anyone experianced this, if so what did they want? and how long did it take from here.
On November 26, 2002, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.
Thanks Dee

Re: Vermont 129f approvals ?
Hi,
It means they are requesting addtional information, a document may be missing
or questions unanswered. Don't feel nervous, quite common but this will delay
you at least 30 days. Also, if they provided a return envelope make sure you
use it, if information doesn't fit in provided envelope and you must provide
your own
write RFE on envelope, it will speed things up for you, very important. RFE
means "request for evidence" Check out the INS website and you will have a
better understanding! Good Luck!

Finchd,
Does the applicant send the beneficiary just the I-134 form or the
supporting documents as well- IRS tax returns (notarized?), bank statements,
statement from employer, title deed, etc.?

Hi
When you filled out the I-134 and put together all your supporting docs........(IRS tax returns (notarized?), bank statements,
statement from employer, title deed, etc.?), you should have photocopies atleast 2 more of everything. Then when you got/get the I-134 notorised you must get the other 2 notorised and send a copy to your fiance. This will be needed at the interview.
Hope this helps.

Hi
Been reading for 2 months now but just registered,I had to reply to this one!!!...Our 1st NOA was 7th Sept was asked for further evidence on the 15th Sept,Got next NOA saying!!!!
On October 21, 2002, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 15 and 21 days for us to process this kind of case. However, because preliminary processing was complete before we requested the additional material, the remaining processing time for this stage of your case is approximately 21 days. You will receive a written decision on this case.
We are still waiting,We have called and they say the same every week!!!! Sorry for the delay but its going to be another week or so...
Best of luck to you all
Sally
