My Fiance sent our forms to VSC also, they received it on the 21st Oct and the notice date is the 25th Oct, the letter says that processing is currently taking 15-21 days for this type of case. I shall keep you posted on the outcome. I have opened the provisional file in London and have a reference number, what date is your NOA1?

I sent our forms to VSC Sep19 and got NOA1 dated Sep24. Still waiting for NOA2. As far as I could research, most of the people whose NOA1 was dated Sep24 got an approval. I called VSC today and heard the same 3 weeks old story that security checks are taking much longer and it could be another week or so.

Thanks,

Dmitry

Was just looking at some other posts regarding VSC and got the following info

Steff
NOA1 28th Sept
NOA2 30th Oct

Pete
NOA1 28th Sep
NOA2 1st Nov
Also Pete has his interview date for London

It seems like everyones timelines differ slightly. Cant understand why though.

Here's our timeline so far:

Oct 22 - Mailed I-129F to VSC
Oct 31 - First NOA

That's it so far..... It's still early for us, so I'm not too stressed about the wait (yet!). I was impressed to read about Pete's progress -- he already has his interview date (next week, I believe) and they submitted only a month after us. But then, these things vary so much...

Good luck to everyone, and keep us posted!

Your fiance in the UK has to fill out and send the forms to the US Embassy in London. All forms can be downloaded from the embassy web site.

1 x cover letter asking the embassy to open a provisional file
Checklist, form IV-15. (tick all the relevant boxes)
1 x DS-230-I Part I,
1 x DS-156
1 x DS-156K supplement,
Form DS-2000 Firstly I hope you got a few notarised copies of the I-134 affidavit of support and sent 1 to your fiance, because he can use this for his evidence of support. (Note do not send this form).

Your fiance should only send the forms into the embassy at this stage, he will need to supply the documents required on the IV15 checklist on the day of the formal visa interview and medical examination.

Also in the mean time he will need to request the police certificate, forms can be obtained from a local police station, this is currently taking up to 40 days. Also tell him to get a couple of copies of his birth certificate and also his vaccination records.

Got my 1st NOA on Aug 15. Fiancee is in Russia. Still waiting for the
2nd NOA. Looks like my 129f is stuck at the bottom of the stack. Don't
know what to do.

Hi James,

Sorry to hear that your wait has been for so long. A three-month wait seems VERY unusual for Vermont. What was the quoted processing time on your first NOA? For most people it seems 15-21 days is the norm for Vermont.

If you have already passed your quoted processing time (which I would think you have), I would get on the ball and start calling people. Call VSC, call your congressperson and/or senator. If you don't get an answer, keep calling back until you DO. Write letters and emails. Make yourself known and hopefully someone will do something for you. Having to wait three months seems excessive to me.

I wish you all the best -- just remember, BE PROACTIVE. It could be something as stupid as them just misplacing your petition, or the second NOA being lost in the mail.

Jenney,

My 1st NOA said it usually takes 15-21 days to process this type of
case. I called the only number on the NOA hundred times and go through
last Friday (It was always busy. I got through like winning a
lottery.) The answer was wait. There is nothing wrong with my
application. I am not sure how my congressman can help me, but I am
going to try. Thanks for the advise. Does anyone have experience with
getting help from his/her congressperson/senator?

James
