Urgent - Advice needed
Hello:
My friend was on an F-1 visa. It was expired and he was trying to
return home, But they detained him in new york. It has been sometime
that he stuck there and they tell him that they are waiting for
approval from man airline. Does anyone have any advice or been through
a similar situation

Some clarification is needed here. When you say he's there on an f-1 visa do you mean the fiancee visa?
