Update on Charlotte office
I just received my receipts and NOA for I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-864
Both fingerprinting and EAD had the following message:
"Fingerprinting and Biometrics
The next step is to have your fingerprints and biometrics taken at a BCIS
Application Support Center (ASC).
Call our National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283 to
SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT."
This seems to be different from other messages I've read on this board.
Everybody else has received a set appt date and time to appear...
I called the number and the previous caller just received the last appt for
Charlotte office for the next 45 days. Tomorrow morning they will start
scheduling dates for the next 45 days (starting Dec 10), so I'll have to
call again to get my fingerprinting appt.
The lady at the center was very helpful and nice and said to go to the local
office on day 91 (Nov 26) to get my EAD.
It had been a a nervewrecking 2 months... it took 2 months for Charlotte to
issue a receipt for applications received and my H-1B is only valid until
Nov 19! I'll probably be benched for 1 week...
Our timeline:
Aug 26 03, FedEx envelope signed for at Charlotte BCIS mailroom
Aug 28 03, received date on forms
Oct 24 03, notice date
Oct 30, receipts received by our lawyer
Nov 26, going to get my EAD from Charlotte office
Jaana (Finland) and Jim (US)
