TSC spouse visa...called INS
I called the NSC to find out about info being given to me that
conflicts with what I know so I decided to call and get it from the
horses mouth.
I filed the I-130 Last March. My 1st NOA is March 6, 2002. Then I
did the k3 and my wife got it and is here on the k3 visa.
The NSC told me that all I can do is wait for the spouse visa to be
processed which could take up to 46 months. OUCH. I asked about
what if the k3 expires before then. The guy told me to File an I-539
about 3 months ahead of the expiration date of the k3.
I asked about filing another spouse visa app and AOS to the local INS.
It was told to me that you cannot do that.

After your wife arrived here did you file an AOS, it was not clear in your
post. The AOS filing is what will trigger her getting the interview for the
conditional green card

Interesting, since Mr F said the other day that you COULD do that......

No, we didnt file an AOS simply because I was told that you have to have
the spouse visa processed first. I was also told that you could send
the AOS but TSC would leave it sit until the spouse visa is processed.
Do you know something I dont? Please tell me
