Trying to get my fiancee to US
I just applied for my US citizenship based on 5 years in US and I'm
trying to bring my Russian fiancee over to US. I also just filed for a
divorce. I understand that the divorce and citizenship take 6-8 month
nowadays. Is there any way to bring my fiancee over on a visitor visa
meanwhile? Should I be honest with immigration and tell them the whole
story or should she just apply as a tourist?
Any info is much appreciated!

Re: Trying to get my fiancee to US
That's what I meant - 5 years GC holder.
She applied for a visitor's visa with her kid but got refused. We are
thinking of re-applying for herself only (more ties to Russia that way).
I just thought it might be a good idea just to come clean to
Immigration and tell them the whole story instead of "I'm visiting a
friend".

Re: Trying to get my fiancee to US
Technically I'm not lying to CIS. She will be coming here as a visitor
and she will go back if she comes here without her kid.
By your reply "save the $100" I assume that the chances of her getting
that visa are slim.

So you admit that if she comes with her kid she'll stay! You know that
USCIS regularly monitors this forum, right?

Re: Trying to get my fiancee to US
I'm not even going to try cause I don't lie to CIS. I did not know
about the monitoring - thanks for the tip. :)
My question was: are those guys in CIS more of a humans who would listen
to my story and help me out or should I just play by the book?
I was trying to find people here with a similar experience and get an
advice.
