Could someone please clarify if the time that you have to enter the US on a K-1 visa is 6
months or 1 year from the date it is issued?

Thanks.

The FAQ which currently resides at http://www.k1faq.com/

"3. Once you have the K1 Visa it is good for one entry into the United States within
6 months."

For anyone who has not visited it, this is a good time.

Thanks Grinch. I thought somebody had posted that you had up to one year for entry. Glad I
know now

To add to what Grinch has posted already..... You have no time to waste before you visit
the website www.k1faq.com It is recommended for both the USC and the person who will
have the visa.

To add to Onigiri and Grinch ... also visit the K1 FAQ now to get a handle on the AOS
process. It is better to see the whole picture rather than view in it a jigsaw pattern.
You might miss a vital step.

Also visit the AOS experience pages along with the POE pages. This will bring you up to
date on port of entries, filing experiences, time waits, requirements etc. You will be so
involved with the wedding details you need to do it now ... rather than later.
