Default Time Frame for interview

I have filed my AOS in May 2002 at the Seattle Office. I got my work permit in July 2002. Now all I am waiting for is the interivew. It has been 9 months already and I still havent heard anything from INS about my interview. Is there anything wrong with the process? Is there a phone number that i can call to check the status? or website?
Please help. I am getting nervous.
or any Seattle people out there are having the same experience?

Matthew Udall's website (AILA numbers) mentions a wait of 1 year.

Did them tell you how long you should expect to wait when you filed (on your receipt for example)?

You renew it for another year... Depending on how long it takes them to process EADs, you want to renew it 90 days to a couple days before it expires. I can not advise you on that however, as I am dealing with San Francisco and not Seattle.

Don't know about Seattle, but I would not get nervous. For
me it took two full years before the interview (July 2002)
and still wating for the Greaancard. Nothing wrong, just
slow and costly.

In the case of WildXena you need to consider two things:
during the wait for the interview and the Greencard you need
to renew your EAD (like Caroline said: in time, but I did it
once while it was already expired in Tucson, they did not
care at all, that's up to the employer they said) and don't
forget your Advanced Parole when needed (if you want to
leave the country for a bit). Both cost money. The AP $130,
the EAD $30 (in Tucson) plus the necessary passportphotos.
